What are the keys to a winning SEO strategy?

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the set of coordinated website optimization techniques used to improve visibility on Google’s organic search and other search engines such as Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo or Ask.com.

Achieving powerful results through website optimization for search engines begins with knowing your website’s domain authority, establishing a baseline of where your company is currently at in terms of appearing in search results, and then setting goals for improvement. Remember that to reap good results with Search Engine Optimization in your company, you must align your business goals with those of SEO and Digital Marketing. These well defined goals will serve as the foundation for building a winning SEO strategy.

Once your goals have been defined, your SEO strategy and implementation will be tailored to achieved the identified goals. This customization is key. A strategy for capturing leads should look different from an SEO strategy for e-commerce, even though the implementations may look similar.

It is important to revisit your SEO statistics and strategies regularly. SEO strategies that worked in 2019 may simply not be bringing as many results today. Create SEO goals

As mentioned, well-defined goals are required as a starting point to a winning SEO strategy. This involves having specific, measurable objectives, such as:

  • Increase organic traffic to my website by 30% in the next 6 months;
  • Increase the share of my organic channel to 50% within 6 months;
  • Increase the conversion of my organic channel in the next 3 months;

Thinking in this manner is not always simple. It is a common misstep to set grandiose, general goal such as growing revenue or attracting more traffic. Instead, break the big notion goals into modest OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) like the ones listed above.

As a result, things begin to fall into place, and the SEO objectives begin to take shape. Several firms, including Google, use OKRs to great effect.

When you have a well defined goal, especially a bold one, all of your company planning efforts should align to it.

If these principles are not followed, the outcomes will take considerably longer and will necessitate significantly more money and resources. Plan in an integrated, coordinated, and collaborative manner.
